Russians have fabricated screenshots from the website of Ukraine’s company Pokupon

Recently, the Kremlin mass media outlets, Z-oriented Telegram channels and VKontakte social media pages have started to spread messages about young men being actively served with draft notices at ice rinks in the city of Kyiv.

As evidence, Russians presented screenshots from the website of Ukraine’s company Pokupon. The propagandists claim that Ukrainian men left their passports as collateral to rent skates and received draft notices instead.

These screenshots were fabricated by Russians. They replaced the comments as well as their dates on the website, leaving some of the screenshots with the existing account names that are currently on the website.

On the fabricated screenshot of the Kyiv-based Ice Dream skating rink, the propagandists changed only the year in the date but left the day and month unchanged.

The representatives of the skating rink also mentioned that one does not need to pledge a passport to rent skates.

On the screenshot containing information about the Vintage Park skating rink, the propagandists completely changed the date and the number of stars at the account name but left the nickname of the author of the comment unchanged.

They also did not change the total number of comments across the fabricated screenshots.

Russia continues its disinformation campaign regarding mobilization efforts in Ukraine. Recently, Russian propagandists have been actively spreading fake news stories about women joining Ukraine’s Armed Forces, as well as minor orphans.

Earlier, Ukrinform reported on two fake videos used by Austria’s public broadcaster ORF in its news story about the allegedly forced mobilization in Ukraine.
