Odesa declares day of mourning after deadly storm kills nine

On October 2, Odesa region will observe a day of mourning following the deaths of nine people caused by severe weather.
Oleh Kiper, Head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“Tomorrow, October 2, a day of mourning will be declared in Odesa region due to the tragic deaths of nine people in Odesa caused by the storm,” the statement reads.
On the day of mourning, the State Flag of Ukraine will be flown at half-mast on the buildings of government authorities, enterprises, institutions, and organizations across the region. Entertainment events will be limited.
As reported, nine people, including a child, died in Odesa and Odesa district due to severe weather.
