Cadet shoots two instructors at training center in Chernihiv region – suspect detained

At a training center in Chernihiv region, a cadet opened fire during shooting exercises, killing two servicemen. The police have detained the suspect.
This was reported by the Chernihiv Regional Police on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“Yesterday, the police received information that during a shooting exercise at a training center, a cadet fired an automatic weapon at instructor-servicemen. As a result of the gunfire, two servicemen died of their injuries,” the statement reads.
Police officers have detained the suspect.
The incident has been classified as premeditated murder of two or more persons.
An investigation is ongoing.
As previously reported, a cadet of the Bohdan Khmelnytsky National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in Khmelnytskyi was found dead while on duty, showing signs of a gunshot wound.
