Three adults, five children rescued from flooded homes in Lviv region
The Main Department of Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES) in the Lviv Region reported this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
Due to heavy rainfall, rivers Shchyrka and Zubra overflowed in the Lviv district, causing flooding in the city of Lviv and 11 surrounding territorial communities. These include Kamianka-Buzka, Hlyniany, Davydiv, Zymna Voda, Obroshyne, Pustomyty, Brody, Chervonohrad, Sokolnyky, Solonka, and Shchyrets communities.

As of 08:00 on July 11, SES units had conducted 56 operations, pumping out 9,639 cubic meters of water. Eight people were rescued from flooded buildings, including five children.
In total, 179 rescue workers and 49 units of specialized equipment were involved in the emergency response. Twenty-one motor pumps were used for water removal.

A record 110 mm of rain fell in Lviv during the night and morning of July 10 — in just 12 hours. The heavy downpour caused the Zubra and Marunka rivers in Vynnyky, as well as the Vyshenka river, to overflow. The most severe flooding occurred on Truskavetska, Okruzhna, and Aviatsiina Streets. Flooding was also recorded at three educational institutions and the Dovzhenko Center in Lviv.
