Bridge collapses in Zakarpattia region, five people injured

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Emergency Service on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“At 07:00 p.m., July 24, 2023, the Emergency Service received information about the collapse of the road bridge (about 30 meters long) between the urban-type settlement of Teresva and the village of Bedevlia in the Tiachiv district,” the report states.

Following the incident, two vehicles fell into the Teresva River: one truck and one light car. According to the preliminary data, five people were injured and taken to hospital, including two children.

Emergency and rescue works are underway. The representatives of local authorities are working at the scene.
