Three settlements remain flooded on right bank of Kherson region

Three settlements, including 86 houses, remain flooded on the right bank of the Dnipro River in Kherson region after the Russians blew up the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.

That's according to the State Emergency Service, Ukrinform reports.

In the Kherson region, as of 09:00, there is a gradual decrease in the water level, which is currently at 8 cm. Since the beginning of the day, the water level has dropped by 2 cm.

More than 21.2 thousand tons of water have been pumped out of 68 houses and basements over the day, and 217 thousand tons of water have been pumped out of 767 houses and basements since the start of the work.

26 tons of water have been transported, more than 601 tons since the start of work.

As Ukrinform reported, on the night of June 6, the Russian army blew up the dam of the Kakhovka HPP, causing flooding of parts of Kherson and Mykolaiv regions and at the same time critical shallowing of the Kakhovka reservoir.
