Three Ukrainians were killed and one more was injured in a tragic car accident that occurred near the village of Rzgow not far from Lodz, central Poland, at about 21:00 Kyiv time on September 29, Joanna Kacka, spokeswoman for the Lodz Voivodeship police, has told Ukrinform.

She said that two men, aged 23 and 25, and a 23-year-old woman died in the crash and a 25-year-old woman was hospitalized.

"We have managed to confirm that four Ukrainian citizens were traveling in a car with Polish license plates. They lived in Wroclaw," Kacka said.

According to preliminary information from the police, the driver of the BMW car, in which the Ukrainians were traveling on the national road 91 in the direction of the city of Katowice, lost control of the vehicle. The car ran into an electric pole at high speed and broke into two parts.
