Ukraine’s Emergency Service warns of avalanche, landslide risks in Carpathians

A considerable avalanche danger is expected in Ukraine’s Carpathian Mountains.
The State Emergency Service reported this with reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's forecasts.
"On January 25, a considerable avalanche danger (level 3) is expected in the high-mountain area of Zakarpattia region due to thaw and rain," the report reads.
In addition, there is a risk of landslides on the roads.
Forecasters also warn of rising water levels in rivers of western Ukraine.
