Avalanche risk expected in Carpathians due to thaw

On March 19-20, considerable avalanche danger is expected in Ukraine’s Carpathian mountains.
The State Emergency Service reported this with reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's forecasts.
“On March 19-20, considerable (3) level of avalanche risk is expected in the mountainous areas of Zakarpattia and Ivano-Frankivsk regions due to thaw,” the report says.
