About 30,000 people evacuated from Kalynivka and adjacent villages

About 30,000 people have been evacuated from Kalynivka of Vinnytsia region and six adjacent villages due to a fire in the ammunition depot.

This is reported by the press service of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

"The residents of Kalynivka and populated areas in a 10-kilometer zone (Pavlivka, Medvedka, Dorozhne, Salnyk, Stryzhavka) were notified. At the request of the residents, additional evacuation was carried out from the villages of Ivaniv and Lisova Lysiivka of Kalynivka district. The population is being evacuated. As of 08:00, about 30,000 people were evacuated," the report said.

As reported, the first explosions were reported at 22:00 local time on Tuesday, September 26. According to preliminary information, one person was injured. The victim has been hospitalized in a condition of moderate severity in the Vinnytsia Central District Clinical Hospital.
