Eduado (9), Darijo Srna (43) and Henrik Mkhitaryan (89) scored for Shakhtar. Ahmed Hassan (17) and Mohamed Ibrahim (21) scored for the Egyptian side.
In another tournament match, Russia's Zenit confidently beat Al-Hilal from Saudi Arabia - 4-1 (2-1).
Shakhtar will play their next Matchworld Cup match against the Saudi Arabian side on January 19.
