Ukrainian shot putter wins gold medal at Paralympics

. Shot putter Andriy Holivets has won the fourteenth gold medal for Ukraine at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, showing a result of 16.25 meters.

Russia's Vladimir Andryushchenko claimed a silver medal (15.21 meters), and Australia's Russell Short took the bronze (14.73 meters).

Ukraine has already won 37 medals and ranks fifth in medal count.

The Summer Paralympic Games will be held in London for one more week - until September 9.
