Second round of mayoral elections set for Nov 15- CEC

"On November 15, there will be a second ballot in the local elections on October 25, 2020. In particular, [the second round of] mayoral elections will be held in seven regions of Ukraine, namely in the cities of Lutsk (Volyn region), Kramatorsk (Donetsk region), Ukrainka (Kyiv region), Odesa, Sumy, Kherson and Kamianets-Podilskyi (Khmelnytskyi region)," the report reads.

According to the CEC, about 1.582 million voters will be able to take part in the second ballot at 932 polling stations.

In addition, a second ballot on the election of local council deputies will be held in territorial communities with up to 10,000 voters in 16 regions of Ukraine on November 15.

According to the report, the results of the voting in the elections of deputies of local councils and mayors must be established no later than the fifth day from the day of repeat voting, i.e. by November 20 inclusive.

As was reported earlier, local elections in Ukraine took place on October 25.

A second ballot on mayoral elections was scheduled in territorial communities with more than 75,000 voters, where none of the candidates received more than 50% of the vote in the first ballot.
