Ukrainian politicians spend about $500,000 on advertising in social networks in August

Ukrainian politicians and parties spent about $500,000 on political advertising in social networks in August, the OPORA Civil Network has reported on Facebook.

"Ukrainian politicians and parties spent between $425,469 and $576,345 on political advertising on social media in August. The ten largest advertisers paid $98,406 to broadcast 1,356 political posts," the report said.

According to OPORA, the For the Future party paid the most - $22,520. The second most active party was Servant of the People - $11,641.

The Nash Krai party paid $10,481 for political advertising, and Palchevsky's Peremoha (Victory) Party paid $10,431.

The Litsa news outlet invested $8,026 in campaigning on social networks, the Proposition party spent $7,779 on paid promotions, and the Polit Online page on Facebook spent $7,300.

Iryna Vereshchuk, a candidate from the Servant of the People party for Kyiv mayor, paid $7,273 for campaigning on social media.

The Holos (Voice) party spent $6,604.

The public page of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman closes the rating of the most generous advertisers. $6,451 was spent on its advertising on social networks.
