Canadian opposition welcomes Ukraine’s parliamentary election results
“The Conservative Party of Canada congratulates Ukrainians on holding free, fair and peaceful parliamentary elections. We also welcome the OSCE's preliminary conclusion that fundamental rights and freedoms were respected during the elections as a whole,” Shadow Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Erin O'Toole said, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
He promised to cooperate with the newly elected parliament "on further democratic transformation and strengthening the institutions of power." "We, as always, continue to support the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine in the face of Russian military aggression," the shadow minister stressed.
O'Toole added that his party "will always support the people of Ukraine in their efforts to develop a strong, successful, and democratic state."
As reported, the Central Election Commission of Ukraine processed 100% of electronic voting protocols in the multi-member constituency in Ukraine's snap parliamentary elections. Five parties enter the parliament: the Servant of the People party, the Opposition Platform - For Life, the Batkivshchyna All-Ukrainian Association, the European Solidarity party, and the Holos party.
