Since Friday morning, Ukraine’s police and National Guard have been taking needed measures to ensure public order at the Olimpiyskiy stadium in Kyiv during the debate between presidential candidates Petro Poroshenko and Volodymyr Zelensky.

Director of the Interior Ministry’s Communications Department Artem Shevchenko wrote this on Facebook.

"The law enforcement forces of the Interior Ministry, namely the National Police of Ukraine and the National Guard of Ukraine, have been working since early morning on ensuring public order and security during the unprecedented mass event at the NSC Olimpiyskiy," Shevchenko wrote.

He has also stressed that the Interior Ministry calls on all those who will come to the Olimpiyskiy stadium today that this will be a peaceful event: “No violence, no weapons or prohibited items”.
