Zelensky asks for state protection

The campaign headquarters of presidential candidate Volodymyr Zelensky has appealed to the Ukrainian Interior Ministry with the request to provide state security for the candidate.
An advisor to the interior minister, Ivan Varchenko, said this at a briefing on Monday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Before the first round, during the period of campaigning, we provided protection for nine presidential candidates. Now the campaign headquarters of presidential candidate Zelensky has applied for such protection," Varchenko said.
He added that the National Police is interacting with all campaign headquarters of presidential candidates.
