Police open over 61 criminal cases on election day – Interior Ministry

Starting from March 31, police have opened 61 criminal proceedings related to violations of the electoral law, according to the Interior Ministry.

"61 criminal proceedings were opened. Most cases were initiated under the following articles: falsification of election documents - 31, violation of secrecy of voting - 12, interference with the exercise of voting rights - 6, terrorist act - 4, false reports on bomb threats – 4,” the ministry’s press service wrote on Facebook.

It is noted that as of 12:00 on April 1, police received 2,605 reports on violations of the electoral law.
