Zelensky, Poroshenko reach second round of presidential election – exit poll ordered by 1+1 TV channel

Showman Volodymyr Zelensky leads in the first round of voting in Ukraine's presidential election with 30.1%, whereas incumbent current head of state Petro Poroshenko collects 18.5% and Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko 14% of the vote, according to the results of an exit poll ordered by the 1+1 television channel as of 18:00.

The results of the exit poll were announced during a special program of the channel on Sunday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

Yuriy Boiko garnered 9.1% of the vote, Anatoliy Hrytsenko 7.6%, Ihor Smeshko 6.6%, Oleh Liashko 5%, and Oleksandr Vilkul 3.7%.

The exit poll was conducted by research companies Kantar TNS and Info Sapiens at the request of the 1+1 television channel. About 20,000 respondents aged over 18 years were interviewed at 600 polling stations in Ukraine (except for special and foreign polling stations and occupied territories). The poll's margin of error does not exceed 0.7%.
