Presidential election in Ukraine will be transparent – CEC head
She stated this in her speech at a seminar with the heads and secretaries of district election commissions on the March 31 presidential election, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"We are convinced that together we will be able to make every effort and organize the work so as to ensure an honest and transparent choice of our citizens and the electoral process at the level of the highest international standards," Slipachuk told CEC members.
She also stressed that the upcoming presidential election in Ukraine is important not only to Ukraine but also to the world because it is held, in her words, "under very difficult conditions when certain states intend to interfere in the sovereign rights of other states, and this, unfortunately, concerns our country too."
At the same time, Slipachuk noted that in this election process, the governing composition of district election commissions is quite professional, and most of their members have considerable experience of participation in previous election campaigns.
On February 8, the CEC completed the process of registration for the post of head of state. A total of 44 presidential candidates were registered.
