Petro Poroshenko Bloc demands Avakov refute statement on election fraud

The Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction in the Verkhovna Rada has demanded that the Ukrainian Interior Ministry refute statements on the bloc's involvement in organizing voter bribery schemes or immediately provide evidence.
The chairman of the faction, Artur Herasymov, said this at a meeting of the parliament's conciliatory council on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent said.
"Purely political unsubstantiated statements about our political force are being spread. We demand the immediate refutation of these statements or the urgent publication of evidence," Herasymov said.
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said in an interview with the Dzerkalo Tyzhnia (Mirror Weekly) newspaper that MP Serhiy Berezenko, deputy chairman of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction, appears in proceedings on organizing schemes for bribing voters.
Berezenko subsequently rejected the voter bribery accusations made by Avakov in the interview.
