CEC registers 18 international observers for local elections on Oct 29

The Central Election Commission (CEC) has registered 18 official observers from the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs for the first local elections to united territorial communities that will take place on October 29, the CEC's press service has reported.

"The commission registered 18 official observers from the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs for the first elections of deputies of village and town councils of united territorial communities and respective heads of villages and towns on October 29, 2017," the report says.

As reported, the first local elections will take place in 201 united territorial communities on October 29. In addition, local elections in 51 more united territorial communities will be held on December 24.
