Shmyhal and Swedish ambassador discuss expanding energy cooperation
That’s according to the Ministry of Energy, as reported by Ukrinform.
“During the meeting, the parties paid special attention to the implementation of international technical assistance projects and the prospects for their expansion. In particular, they discussed the accelerated deployment of distributed and flexible generation, strengthening integration with the European energy system, targeted investments in renewable and hybrid energy, as well as continued support for nuclear safety and the protection of critical infrastructure,” the statement said.
Overall, Sweden has delivered more than 225 shipments of critically important energy equipment to Ukraine, with a total weight exceeding 2,170 tonnes.
As earlier reported, In February, the Swedish government announced a SEK 1 billion aid package for Ukraine to address the country’s most urgent energy equipment needs
