Zelensky announces new steps to strengthen energy security of communities

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting in Kyiv focused on the operational performance of local communities and identified priority measures to ensure energy resilience.

The head of state announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Together with Yuliia Svyrydenko and Oleksandr Kubrakov, we identified the next priority steps. Government programs supporting both ordinary people and Ukrainian businesses have already been intensified. Designated state enterprises are providing assistance to communities. We are working to ensure that the right conclusions are drawn from the severe challenges of this winter in all communities," Zelensky said.

He emphasized the need to guarantee backup power and further develop energy infrastructure.

"It is essential to guarantee reliable backup power for all critical infrastructure in every community, advance distributed generation, and provide the necessary incentives for businesses. I am grateful to everyone who is working to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience and support the development of our communities," he added.
