France interested in cooperation with Ukraine in agriculture, energy, and transport – MFA

Ukrinform
France and Ukraine have resumed the Business Council to overcome mutual concerns in the context of EU integration.

Deputy Minister for Foreign Trade Nicolas Forissier stated this at a briefing in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Forissier explained that both sides have concerns regarding the agricultural sector. He said the French fear that Ukraine is very strong and could destabilize the EU and French markets, while Ukrainians fear that they are not welcome in the EU. He emphasized that Ukraine and France are two major agricultural countries in Europe, and therefore, instead of maintaining these fears, the two countries will work to cooperate more.

Forissier noted that French companies are most interested in cooperation in the energy sector, infrastructure, transport, and agriculture.
