Ukraine, UAE agree to set up bilateral investment working group

The agreement was reached during the fourth meeting of the Ukraine-UAE Intergovernmental Joint Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation, held in Abu Dhabi and co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Taras Kachka and UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation Reem Ebrahim Al Hashimy, Ukrinform reported, citing the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister.

The parties discussed the development of bilateral cooperation, particularly in trade and investment, and also identified promising areas for cooperation in space technologies.

"The agreement was reached to establish a bilateral investment working group," the statement said.

Summing up the meeting, Kachka stressed that Ukraine sees significant potential for attracting investment from the UAE into the development of logistics, port and transport infrastructure, energy transformation, and Ukraine's technological and industrial growth.

The parties also agreed to hold the next, fifth meeting of the intergovernmental commission in Ukraine.
