Another convoy carrying generators for Ukrainian cities has been dispatched from Germany as part of the "Heat for Ukraine" campaign.

Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Oleksii Makeiev announced this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"Yesterday [on January 27], together with Ukraine's Honorary Consul in Cologne, Linda Mai, we sent another convoy of generators to Ukraine as part of the 'Heat for Ukraine' campaign," the diplomat wrote.

According to him, 252 generators were sent to Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia, while another 148 were sent to Kyiv and Odesa. Over the previous weekend, generators had already been delivered to Sumy and Hlukhiv. The organization Blau-Gelbes Kreuz e.V. raised EUR 2 million for this effort.

The ambassador praised the work of Mai and her team, which since 2014 have provided Ukraine with about 14,500 generators, including 6,200 in 2025 and 560 since the beginning of 2026. The organization works closely with the government of the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and Ukrainian municipalities.

Makeiev noted that other partners in Germany are also joining the "Heat for Ukraine" campaign. In particular, the organization Ukraine-Hilfe Berlin e.V. donated three high-capacity generators to the First Medical Association of Lviv. Assistance is also being collected and sent by communities in Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt, and other cities, as well as by Ukrainian organizations in Germany.

"These local initiatives, which we at the embassy often are not even aware of, reinforce the substantial assistance provided by the German government: EUR 60 million in winter support from the German Federal Foreign Office; an industrial transformer from the decommissioned Rheinhafen Karlsruhe thermal power plant, provided with the support of GIZ for DTEK; energy equipment worth EUR 813,000 from Technisches Hilfswerk (THW) for the Sumy and Zaporizhzhia regions; and a forthcoming delivery worth EUR 1.27 million for the Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kharkiv regions, as well as the city of Mykolaiv," the ambassador added.

Germany remains one of the largest donors of humanitarian and energy assistance to Ukraine, particularly amid Russia's massive attacks on energy infrastructure.
