The government is systematically working to attract energy assistance from partners; the next shipments are expected in the coming days.

According to Ukrinform, this was announced by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko on Telegram.

“In the coming days, new shipments from Azerbaijan, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic will arrive in Ukraine with generators, transformers, cables, medical equipment, and other humanitarian aid,” the prime minister said.

Another EUR 25 million will be transferred to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund next week from Ireland.

“We are grateful to all our partners for their continued support and assistance already provided: contributions to the Ukraine Energy Support Fund and reserve energy equipment,” Svyrydenko said.

All proceeds will be used to restore heat and light in people's homes and to rebuild energy facilities after extremely difficult enemy shelling.

As reported, on the night and morning of January 20, the enemy carried out a massive missile and drone attack on Ukrainian energy system facilities. As of this morning, consumers in Kyiv and the Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Rivne, Kharkiv, and Sumy regions are without power. About 46% of the housing stock in the capital is without heating.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, in January this year, 17 countries and the European Union provided support to stabilize the energy sector in Ukraine.
