Russia destroys large energy infrastructure facility in Kharkiv

The Russian army has destroyed a large energy infrastructure facility in Kharkiv.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy has destroyed a large critical energy infrastructure facility. The headquarters for overcoming the consequences of emergency situations is working 24/7, emergency services and specialized specialists are on site. We are doing everything possible to minimize the consequences of enemy strikes and maintain control of the situation," the post reads.

The mayor added that the city was preparing for various scenarios, and the services are acting accordingly.

"I believe in our utility and energy workers – they have repeatedly proven that they can work in the most difficult conditions. We have been preparing for different scenarios, and now we are acting clearly and responsibly. We will provide information promptly and to the point," Terekhov said.

On the afternoon of January 15, Russian forces launched strikes on the outskirts of Kharkiv, with at least six explosions recorded.
