Russian army again attacks DTEK thermal power plant

The Russian army has once again attacked a DTEK thermal power plant.

DTEK Group reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

As a result of the attack, equipment at the plant was significantly damaged.

This marks the eighth large-scale attack on the company’s thermal power plants since October 2025.

In total, since the start of the full-scale invasion, DTEK’s thermal power plants have been attacked more than 220 times. Fifty-nine energy workers have been injured, and four have been killed.

As Ukrinform reported, emergency power outages were introduced in Kyiv and the Bucha district of Kyiv region on the morning of January 13.
