Ukraine, IMF agree on seventh review of EFF program – PM Shmyhal
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced this in a Telegram post, as reported by Ukrinform.
"Ukraine and the IMF have reached a staff-level agreement on the seventh review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF). The total volume of the program is approximately $15.5 billion. We will be able to receive the next tranche after the review is approved by the IMF Executive Board," he wrote.
Shmyhal expressed gratitude to the government and the National Bank of Ukraine teams for their thorough work, as well as to the IMF for its support and stable partnership.
As reported by Ukrinform, since the beginning of the full-scale war, the IMF has provided Ukraine with more than $12.4 billion in assistance.
This year, Ukraine will also receive various forms of aid, including €8 billion from the European Union, Norway, and Spain, and $10.6 billion from the United Kingdom and Canada. Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, and the Baltic States will also contribute to Ukraine's resilience.
