Colombia and Zambia will be the first countries to start implementing the Ukrainian e-government application Diia with the support of the U.S. Agency for International Development.

USAID Administrator Samantha Power said this at the presentation of Diia in the U.S. capital, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

In January of this year, Power announced that the U.S. would support partner countries inspired by Diia and looking to accelerate their own digital transformation by developing and expanding their e-government capabilities, she recalled.

Samantha Power noted that this experience will have its own peculiarities in different countries and named the list of the first countries that want to introduce the electronic application, developed by Ukraine, for their citizens.

Power said she was excited that USAID would be working with Colombia and Zambia.

She noted that the United States is committed to helping partners find ways to make progress in digital civilian infrastructure.

The USAID Administrator emphasized that the agency would continue its close partnership with Ukraine, both by further supporting the development of Diia and in facilitating partnerships with other countries so that Ukraine can inspire more digital transformations around the world.
