IMF mission starts discussing revision of Ukraine's programme

The International Monetary Fund mission, together with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities, is starting to discuss measures in the context of the first review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme.

This is stated in an IMF press release available to the agency, according to Ukrinform.

"The IMF mission headed with Gavin Gray starts today discussing measures in the context of the first review of the Extended Fund Facility (EFF) with representatives of the Ukrainian authorities," said Vahram Stepanyan, Resident Representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Ukraine.

As earlier reported, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that on 23 May, a mission for the first review of the IMF's Extended Fund Facility programme will start in Vienna. The Prime Minister clarified that this is a 4-year, $15.6 billion EFF programme that was approved in late March. It is part of a large package of support from the G7 countries worth $115 billion over the life of the programme.
