Zelensky imposes sanctions against 41 people who helped Russia control Zaporizhstal

President Volodymyr Zelensky signs a decree imposing sanctions on 13 individuals and 28 legal entities that helped Russia maintain control over Zaporizhstal (Ukraine's steel maker).

The head of state announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"Today is a sanctions day. There are several sanctions packages, and I have signed the relevant decrees. The first sanctions package is for Zaporizhstal. By my decree, I imposed restrictive measures on 13 individuals and 28 legal entities with the help of which Russia maintained control over the enterprise and harmed our economy," Zelensky said.

The President informed about confiscating the Russian share, which, according to him, will benefit Ukraine and Ukrainians.

As Ukrinform previously reported, according to Ukraine's Ministry of Justice, there are currently 230-250 assets of sanctioned persons in Ukraine that can be recovered in favor of the state.
