Ukraine's government bans coal exports

Ukrinform
The Cabinet of Ministers has completely banned Ukrainian coal exports.

According to Ukrinform, Taras Melnychuk, a representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, reported this on the messaging app Telegram.

"Amendments have been made to the volumes of quotas on goods, the export of which is subject to licensing, approved by Cabinet of Ministers resolution No. 1424 of December 12, 2021, in terms of a complete ban on the export of Ukrainian coal," he wrote.

It is noteworthy that earlier, coking coal was not subject to the ban on the export of energy resources, introduced in June.

As was reported earlier, Ukraine's Ministry of Energy set up an operational headquarters to monitor the passage of the 2022/2023 heating season.
