Banks issue UAH 33M worth of loans to Ukrainian exporters

Ukrainian banks have issued 14 loans worth UAH 33.2 million as part of a special lending program for exporters, with 12 more loan agreements yet to be signed.

That's according to Ukraine's Export Credit Agency, Ukrinform reports.

"The ECA's partner banks as part of a special lending program for exporters during the martial law supported the issuance of eight more loans with simplified collateral requirements. In general, as of August 19, banks have already issued 14 loans worth UAH 33.211 million," the report reads.

A further 12 loan agreements for UAH 54.37 million have been agreed and are to be signed by the parties.

According to the report, banks issued loans to entrepreneurs from the Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne, Kyiv, Odesa, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Chernivtsi regions. These are exporters of paper bags, wood products, solid fuel boilers, plank flooring, furniture, rubber products and foodstuffs.

According to the ECA, thanks to the loans received for the fulfillment of export contracts, the total amount of supported exports will exceed UAH 203.5 million.
