Over 12B cubic meters of gas stored in underground storage facilities - Shmyhal

Some 12.2 billion cubic meters of natural gas have been stored in Ukraine's underground gas storage facilities as of August 8, 2022.

According to Ukrinform, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said this in a Telegram post.

He noted that preparations for the heating season and the state of gas procurement and pumping into storage became the topic of discussion during a meeting with the participation of the Ministry of Energy, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Finance and Naftogaz of Ukraine.

Shmyhal tasked the Ministry of Finance with working out a mechanism for directing the funds received from the rent to the purchase of Ukrainian-produced gas.
