On July 27, a Syrian ship, loaded in Feodosia with barley taken from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, entered the Lebanese port of Tripoli.

Relevant information was posted by the Embassy of Ukraine in Lebanon on Facebook.

On July 28, Ambassador of Ukraine to Lebanon Ihor Ostash met with President of Lebanon Michel Aoun.

During the meeting, the issue of Ukrainian wheat supplies to the Lebanese market was discussed. It was emphasized that Ukraine remains a reliable partner of Lebanon and will ensure its food security despite military actions waged by the Russian aggressor.

"The Ambassador drew the President's attention to the fact that a Syrian ship, loaded in the port of Feodosia with barley taken from the occupied territories, had entered the seaport of Tripoli on July 27. A request was made to take measures to clarify the circumstances of its stay in the Lebanese territorial waters. It was also underscored that this fact could harm bilateral relations," the statement reads.

The Ambassador of Ukraine also informed President Aoun of the military situation in the south and east of Ukraine, the Embassy added.

As reported, according to intelligence data, Russia failed to sell the stolen Ukrainian grain in Lebanon: the ships carrying the grain were unloaded in Syria.
