Ukraine's Makariv, Germany's Wandlitz sign partnership agreement - ambassador

The communities of the Ukrainian village of Makariv in the Kyiv region and the German village of Wandlitz in the state of Brandenburg will cooperate as part of technical assistance projects to Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, German Ambassador to Ukraine Anka Feldhusen posted this on Twitter.

"Partnership of towns for rapid and effective reconstruction: I am pleased that the communities of Makariv in the Kyiv region and Wandlitz in the state of Brandenburg have signed an agreement that will form the basis for new projects and technical assistance. I was glad to welcome Mayor Oliver Borchert in Kyiv," she wrote.

Earlier reports said that the German government is planning to provide EUR 1 billion in grant aid to Ukraine.
