In Chernihivka (Zaporizhia region), the occupiers are threatening farmers to seize their land plots.

That’s according to the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration spokesman, Ivan Arefiev, Ukrinform reports.

"In Chernihivka, the occupiers seek to take away people's farmland. They are forcing them to fill out by May 8 a form stating how much land an owner has and how much of it is leased. Only after that will they issue a land cultivation license," he wrote.

Otherwise, the commandant threatens to seize all land that is not filed in the form.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, referring to Ambassador Yevhenii Tsymbaliuk, Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the International Organizations in Vienna, “Russia has already stolen about 400,000 tonnes of grain from the occupied territories, especially from Kherson region.

As noted, in parallel lines, Russia is blocking navigation to and from Ukrainian seaports, mining maritime routes, as well as methodically destroying or stealing agricultural and farming equipment. In Rubizhne, Luhansk region, the Russian invaders have completely destroyed the modern silo complex, built in 2020, which could store 30,000 tonnes of grain.

Tsymbaliuk added that the expropriation of crops from farmers was reminiscent of the Soviet government's criminal policy, which led to a mass artificial famine in Ukraine in 1921-1923, the Holodomor in 1932-1933, and the mass artificial famine in 1946-1947.
