UK has pledged almost £400 million in aid to Ukraine and will provide £220 million of humanitarian assistance to support countries receiving Ukrainian refugees.

UK Permanent Representative to the United Nations Barbara Woodward made a corresponding statement at the UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports from New York.

As noted, the UK also guaranteed $1 billion in World Bank lending to Ukraine.

Moreover, Woodward stressed the need to hold Russia accountable for war crimes, including those committed in Bucha, Irpin, Borodianka, Chernihiv, and many other towns.

“Let there be no doubt that justice will be sought for these crimes against humanity,” the UK Permanent Representative said, noting that her country welcomes the ongoing International Criminal Court investigations, led by Karim Khan.
