Ukraine, Colombia agree on joint economic and defense projects after war

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Colombian President Ivan Duque Marquez have agreed to launch joint economic and defense projects after the war ends.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I am glad to have established contact with Ivan Duque Marquez. […] We have agreed to launch joint economic and defense projects after the war ends,” Zelensky wrote.

The President of Ukraine expressed gratitude to Colombia for humanitarian aid and consolidating South American countries to show support for Ukraine.

A reminder that, on March 11, 2022, Colombian President Ivan Duque Marquez met with Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova and assured her of strong support and readiness to provide all possible assistance to Ukraine.
