Pension payments will continue to grow in Ukraine in 2022, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.

He said this at a government meeting on Wednesday, January 12, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"An increase [in pensions] is expected this year. There are quite a few stages. In particular, the indexation of pensions is planned from March, including for working pensioners, and the program of additional payments will be extended to persons over 70 years of age. Recalculations will be made for Chornobyl cleanup workers with disabilities, and pensions for 65-year-olds will continue to grow due to the increase in the minimum wage," Shmyhal said.

According to him, the government plans to take a number of important measures to increase pensions for Ukrainians.
