"Naftogaz paid UAH 116 billion in taxes and fees in 2021. The state-owned company provided one tenth of all revenues to the state budget of Ukraine ... This is an increase of UAH 13 billion (12.6%) compared to 2020," CEO of Naftogaz Yuriy Vitrenko posted on Facebook.
He noted that the payments to the budget grew due to the improvement of Naftogaz's financial performance in the second quarter of last year.
In January-September 2021, the Naftogaz Group reported a 3.9-fold reduction in losses compared to the same period in 2020. The Group's revenues for the reporting period amounted to UAH 136.965 billion, up 30.8% compared to January-September 2020.
At the same time, in July-September 2021, NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, as a separate legal entity, received UAH 2.5 billion in profits.
