Zaporizhzhia airport sees 89 percent increase in number of handled passengers

In 2021, the Zaporizhzhia International Airport saw an 89 percent increase in the number of handled passengers compared to 2020.

"In 2021, the Zaporizhzhia International Airport served 3,439 flights, which carried 617,518 passengers: an 89.3 percent increase compared to 2020 and a 42.2 percent increase compared to 2019," the airport’s administration posted on its Facebook page, Ukrinform reports.

In 2021, new flights were opened from Zaporizhzhia to Batumi, Tirana, Tivat, Bodrum, Heraklion, Burgas, Vienna, Budapest, Marsa Alam, Lviv. In total, passengers of Zaporizhzhia airport had the opportunity to travel on 22 routes in 2021.
