NBU provides banks with UAH 2B in refinancing

The National Bank of Ukraine has provided refinancing to five banks in the amount of UAH 2.03 billion.

That’s according to the central bank’s press service, Ukrinform reports.

"The National Bank of Ukraine announces that on December 24, 2021, a quantitative tender took place for refinancing of banks for up to 28 days, as a result of which the application of five banks for the amount of UAH 2,030.0 million at an interest rate of 10.00% per annum was granted," the statement says.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the NBU in the fourth quarter of 2021 ceased providing long-term refinancing and interest rate swap operations.

In addition, from October 1, the maturity of refinancing loans offered at weekly tenders was reduced from 90 to 30 days.
