Croatian Tourism Office in Ukraine to help boost tourist flows - Zelensky

The opening of a Croatian Tourism Office in Ukraine will help increase tourist flows between the two countries.

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine made the statement during a joint briefing with Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I thank you for your personal initiative to open a tourism office in Ukraine. This will undoubtedly contribute to the growth of tourist flows," Zelensky said.

The president noted that at the meeting with Plenković, special attention was paid to the prospects of deepening trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

"Between Ukraine and Croatia, we have significant unrealized potential. I am confident that these days the foundation will be laid for new and successful Ukrainian-Croatian business projects," Zelensky said.

Earlier in a meeting with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković assured his interlocutor that Croatia would facilitate the opening of offices for Croatian travel agencies in Ukraine.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on December 8, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine met with Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, Andrej Plenković.

On the same day, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal also met with Croatia’s prime minister. The parties discussed deepening cooperation in trade, economy, tourism, digitalization, and education.
