Republic of Korea identifies Ukraine as priority country for providing technical assistance

The Republic of Korea has identified Ukraine as a priority country for providing technical assistance over the next five years.

"The Korean government intends to promote the implementation of national reforms in Ukraine by identifying Ukraine as a priority partner country for international technical assistance for a period of five years, starting this year and supporting projects that Ukraine needs in the field of infrastructure, education, healthcare," Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine Kim Hyung-tae said during the Korea–Ukraine International Forum, which focuses on the latest healthcare challenges, in particular, related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In particular, according to the Ambassador, an important role is given to the assistance in the field of health care and medicine of Ukraine.

The Republic of Korea and Ukraine will also cooperate in projects to fight COVID-19, the diplomat said.
