Ukrainian farmers export almost 6.5M grain and leguminous crops – Agrarian Policy Ministry

As of August 25, Ukraine’s exports of grain and leguminous crops in the 2021/2022 marketing year (MY, began on July 1, 2021) reached 6.488 million tonnes, which is 127,000 tonnes more than in the same period last MY, Ukrinform reports, referring to the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

In particular, between July 1 and August 25, 2021, Ukraine exported 3.127 million tonnes of wheat (-778,000 tonnes compared to the relevant period last MY), 2.164 million tonnes of barley (+256,000 tonnes), 6,800 tonnes of rye (+6,000 tonnes), and 1.172 million tonnes of corn (+640,000 tonnes).

In addition, over the reporting period, Ukraine exported 19,300 tonnes of flour (-13,100 tonnes).

As reported, in 2020/2021 MY, Ukraine exported 44.72 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, including 16.64 million tonnes of wheat, 4.23 million tonnes of barley, 18.4 thousand tonnes of rye, and 23.08 million tonnes of corn.
