Shmyhal: State to finance rail car manufacturing programs

"Development of high-quality railway service, high-quality rolling stock is one of the priorities because, apart from comfort for people, it is also an important factor contributing to economic development. We will finance and stimulate programs to develop domestic rail car manufacturing and locomotive manufacturing in Ukraine," Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said at a briefing during a working trip to Cherkasy region, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

During a meeting with President Zelensky on August 5, it was discussed that Ukrzaliznytsia employees were paid a salary increased by 10% and the need to renew Ukrzaliznytsia's rolling stock, so this is also a priority for the President and the Government, he added.

On August 6, Shmyhal is on a working trip to Cherkasy region.
